Quackwell
A wellness mobile app for daily productivity and wellness habits, featuring a to-do planner, hydration reminders, focus sessions, a community space, and a virtual pet (Quackwell) that tracks user progress.
My Role
A year-long project completed by a team of four. I led concept and feature definition, designed the full UI/UX and branding (including the mascot), and contributed to frontend implementation.
Target Audience
Designed for tech-savvy users who enjoy playful, game-like experiences, the app offers a light, low-pressure way to build better habits. It assumes familiarity with mobile apps and a quick learning curve for gamified features.
Problem Statement
Market research showed that most wellness apps are either rigid and uninspiring or highly gamified with limited real functionality. Quackwell sits between these extremes, offering a playful experience alongside practical habit-building tools.
This project was informed by behavioral psychology and presented at CSUNposium.
